Holly Springs has been strengthened by the people who have dedicated their lives in service to the community. One family that made a difference was the Lassiters.
William Bernice and Cora Mae (Norris) Lassiter were married in 1937 and started a family in their home, which still stands today off Grigsby Avenue. William served as one of the first Black Commissioners in the 1970s, and Cora Mae was appointed to the Town Council in 1981.
Hear from their daughter, Victoria Lassiter Judd, who was born and raised in Holly Springs alongside her five siblings. She recounts the dedication and commitment her parents shared for forward-moving progress in the development of our Town.
